Disgusting fake news network bullies Reddit user for posting funny meme.
CNN threatened to expose sensitive information on 7/4 about Reddit user HanAssholeSolo, who created the Donald Trump wrestling meme that sparked outrage among left-wing zealots with no sense of humor.
Yes, a multi-million dollar conglomerate bullied a private citizen for making a funny meme.
CNN reporter Andrew Kaczynski reportedly didn’t doxx the user “because he is a private citizen who has issued an extensive statement of apology, showed his remorse by saying he has taken down all his offending posts, and because he said he is not going to repeat this ugly behavior on social media again.”
He added that “CNN reserves the right to publish his identity should any of that change,” which is essentially a threat to ruin the Reddit user’s life should he dare to create another funny gif ever again. These people are psychopaths who would make the North Korean government proud.
Even liberals are horrified. Vox reporter German Lopez said he “can’t emphasize how bad this is on CNN’s part.”
“This is basically ‘don’t post stuff we don’t like or we’ll dox you.’ Extremely unethical.”
Leftist political commentator Cenk Uygur of “The Young Turks” said the wrestling meme was no big deal and mainline journalists are losing credibility with their breathless coverage:
The Communist News Network doesn’t seem to understand memes and funny gifs are a part of the Internet and they’re designed to be make people laugh. Evidently, anyone who dares blasphame the holy name of CNN deserves to be doxxed by bully leftists who can’t take a joke.

UPDATE: CNN issued the following statement in response to the blackmail controversy:
“CNN decided not to publish the name of the Reddit user out of concern for his safety,” reads the statement. “Any assertion that the network blackmailed or coerced him is false. The user, who us an adult male, not a 15-year-old boy, apologized and deleted his account before ever speaking with our reporter. CNN never made any deal, of any kind, with the user. In fact, CNN included its decision to withhold the user’s identity in an effort to be completely transparent that there was no deal.”
Their response did not address the fact Kaczynski stated in his original story that the network reserves “the right to publish” the Reddit user’s identity should he post politically incorrect material on social media again.
